Their First Gallery Exhibition

At the conclusion of the program, String hART Studio transforms into a gallery where each young artist proudly exhibits their work. Family and friends are invited to celebrate their creativity, read artist statements, and view a collection of original artwork created throughout the summer.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the application process work?

Simply click Apply Today to complete the interest form. We'll review each application and contact selected families with enrollment details and next steps.

What happens after I apply?

After submitting your application, I'll personally review it and contact you to schedule a brief conversation. Once accepted, you'll receive your welcome packet, tuition information, and required enrollment forms.

How old should my child be?

The Young Artists Summer Program is designed for children ages 8–13 who enjoy creating and are excited to explore new artistic mediums. Whether your child is just discovering art or already loves to draw and paint, the program is designed to meet them where they are.

How many students are accepted?

Enrollment is intentionally limited to just eight young artists. This allows for personalized instruction, meaningful feedback, and plenty of one on one guidance throughout the program.

Does my child need any art experience?

Not at all! No previous art experience is required. Every young artist receives step by step instruction, encouragement, and personalized guidance throughout the program. Our small class size allows each child to learn and grow at their own pace.

Can parents stay during class?

To help students build confidence and independence, classes are designed for children only. Parents are welcome to drop off and pick up their child, and we'll celebrate everyone's work together during the Young Artist Exhibition.

What's included with tuition?

All art materials and supplies are included in tuition. Each student will also receive a String hART Studio artist apron to personalize and wear throughout the program.

Do I need to pack food or snacks?

Yes. Please send your child each day with a packed lunch (if applicable), two snacks, and a labeled reusable water bottle. We ask that families avoid sending foods containing common allergens if possible and refrain from bringing glass containers.

What should my child wear?

We recommend comfortable clothing that can get a little messy. While every child receives an artist apron, creativity can sometimes be unpredictable!

What if my child misses a class?

Because each week's projects build upon the previous lessons, we encourage students to attend every session whenever possible. If your child must miss a class, we'll do our best to help them catch up during the following session, but make up classes are not guaranteed.

Will there be a gallery exhibition?

Yes! The program concludes with the Young Artists Exhibition, where family and friends are invited to celebrate each student's accomplishments. Every child will display their artwork in a professional gallery setting and have the opportunity to offer selected pieces for sale.
